MAXUS FORMACION is a language school in Barakaldo, which is a 15-minute underground ride from Bilbao.
We specialise in English for kids, teens, adults and businesses.
We are an Examination Centre for Oxford Test of English, also prepare students for Cambridge Exams.

What do we offer?

We offer 9 ½ months employment (mid Sept – June) with the possibility of extending it into July for the cover of summer courses/camps.

Your core teaching hours might be from about 15:00 until about 21:30. However, you may be asked to teach in the morning according to the needs of our 'business clients'.

You will be provided with continuous assessment, coaching and the possibility to attend TESOL and TEFL conferences in and around the Basque Country.

Paid holidays when the academic courses go on break for Christmas and Easter.

The pay rate for teachers at Maxus is between 1250-1350€ gross a month based on 24 teaching hours spread over Monday to Friday. This includes one week of paid induction at the beginning of the academic year, as well as one week at the end of the academic year dedicated to planning and admin tasks in preparation for the next course.

What do we expect from you?

Be a dynamic, approachable, flexible and enthusiastic person, who is willing to go above and beyond the standards for teaching English in a classroom.

Have fun and enjoy the running of your classes, as we pride ourselves on having a jolly approach without overlooking discipline in the classroom, so as to create a powerful learning environment.

Hold a valid UE passport.

Have full mastery of English across all skills to a CEFR C2 level.

Hold a qualification for teaching English (Celta, Delta, CertTESOL, DipTESOL).

Have a minimum of one year experience teaching students of all ages (we’ll highly consider those applicants with experience in teaching kids from the age of 3-8 and Cambridge English exam preparation).

Plan and prepare all your lessons in a timely and professional manner, adapting to the different needs of your students.
